Inspired by TED Talks (18 minutes) and Japan’s Pecha Kucha presentation PechaKucha (ペチャクチャ) is a presentation format that originated in Tokyo, Japan in 2003. It was created by two architects, Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham, as a way for young designers to showcase their work and network with others in a fun and informal setting. The name “PechaKucha” comes from the Japanese word for “chit-chat.”
